Terms of Service

Effective: May 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Strive To Start mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in regions where GDPR applies) to use Strive To Start. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission.

2. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Don't share your account.
• Provide accurate and current information when you sign up.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us at strive2start@gmail.com as soon as possible.

3. Your content

You own what you create. Journeys, steps, videos, images, and text you upload remain yours.

To run the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transcode, and distribute your content within the Service — including showing it to other users in the public feed and on profiles. This license exists only so we can operate the Service and ends when you delete the content (subject to backup retention described in our Privacy Policy).

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Strive To Start to:

• Post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent.
• Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organization.
• Upload content that contains personal information about other people without their consent.
• Spam, scam, or run promotional schemes without permission.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or data of the Service except as permitted by law.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, attack our infrastructure, or attempt to bypass security measures.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Public nature of the feed

Strive To Start is a social product. Content you publish — including your display name, profile photo, public journeys, steps, and proof videos — is visible to other users. Treat anything you publish as public, and don't post anything you wouldn't want others to see.

6. Intellectual property

The Strive To Start name, logo, app design, code, and original content are the property of the Strive To Start team and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.

7. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or for legal reasons. We will give notice when reasonable, except where doing so would compromise security or the integrity of the Service.

8. Changes to the Service

The Service is under active development. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We may also stop offering parts of the Service. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your existing data.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any specific content will be preserved.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strive To Start and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Strive To Start team from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you post, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Strive To Start team operates, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting strive2start@gmail.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

13. App store terms

If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, you also agree to those stores' end-user license terms. In the case of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's standard EULA or Google Play's terms, the relevant store terms apply only as required by that store.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
